It was a normal evening in November 1980, hanging out with my best friend Buddy Rizer. As we were both EMT's we regularly had our fire scanner or pager on to hear what was going on in the county. We heard Halfway's Truck 26 dispatched for a building fire at the Brunswick Railroad B&O YMCA. Knowing this must be a big fire with a ladder truck being sent nearly 30 miles for a fire, we headed to Brunswick.
I was familiar, as my Grandmother lived in Brunswick. Oddly, I did not have my camera that night, so the night fire photos were taken with Buddy's camera. The daytime after shots were taken with my camera.
